F1 bosses, I've had the most interesting idea. I'll go straight to it.

To end the criticism and my personal growing disappointment for the cotegory, and frankly to save it, the drivers must be dettached from the teams. The two championships must be completely separated. It must be done in a way that every driver gets roughly the same chances as every other driver. The drivers should come into F1 from being champions in the access categories. Every two or so years the bottom 4 drivers should be exchanged by the top four from access categories.

How to do that, you ask.

Considering the current state of things there should be 20 races a year, plus testing and such, which is the only part I have not figured completely. There have to be exactly 10 teams, two cars each. The cars must be able to fit any driver with little modification, which shouldn't be so difficult to achieve. Then the key factor comes in. Every pair of drivers drives twice for each team, preferably in two distant moments of the year, so that team development doesn't disturb driver performance so much. Thus the drivers will be measured by their capabilities as drivers in every aspect and at every conceivable fortunes and misfortunes carwise. This isn't a magical solution. Some drivers will have better luck in driving for teams on the rise, but it won't be predictable as it is today, when the champion can mostly be sorted from two to four drivers every season, most times two.

Drivers will get paid by prize and personal sponsors. Teams as well. Pay drivers thus will come to an end, eliminating one of the greatest frustrations of fans worldwide. Drivers will come and stay mostly by their results alone, and teams will have the opportunity of friday testing with every driver on the grid. Teams will then be pure teams and drivers will be pure drivers, each winning or losing by their own skill and talent and capability of working well in any condition, driverwise for teams and teamwise for drivers.

Overall I think this can save the sport. Why not try?
